Local man now owns a website
Friends describe gift as "generous", "thoughtful" and "about eight quid".
In scenes described by onlookers as "frankly unnecessary", a local man known only as Jack was this Christmas handed the keys to his very own corner of the internet. The gift, arranged in secret by his mates Charlie and James, was delivered via a present that repeatedly ran away from him.
"I heard shouting," said a neighbour who did not wish to be named. "Then someone yelled 'come back here you little box'. I assumed it was a normal Tuesday."
Experts confirm that owning a domain places Jack in the top percentage of people who own a domain. Economists have yet to comment on whether this makes him technically a landlord.
A reindeer was unavailable for comment, though sources close to the herd say it was "visibly jealous". Charlie and James have announced they will be bringing this up at every social occasion for the foreseeable future.
